Vacuum aluminized lining paper is prone to wrinkles, bad folds, etc. on the cigarette packing machine, which makes the equipment channel prone to blockage, which affects the product quality and equipment packaging speed. Many improvements have been made in the equipment to adapt to the vacuum aluminized lining paper. The common paper fillers are talc, ground calcium carbonate, light calcium carbonate, and new paper fillers are bentonite, silicate, gypsum whiskers, natural zeolite, diatomite, etc. Talc powder is suitable for various paper-making sizing systems. Compared with fillers such as calcium carbonate and kaolin, it can save the amount of chemical additives and give the paper a good sizing effect; it has hydrophobicity, improves the water resistance of the paper, and reduces the moisture absorption of the paper. Liu Huifeng and others analyzed the vacuum aluminized base paper and improved the base paper by optimizing the filler. The research results showed that:
(1)Paper is an elastoplastic material, and when the stiffness is large, the rebound angle is also large. Therefore, the greater the basis weight and the higher the softwood pulp ratio, the greater the stiffness and the greater the rebound angle. Paper using talc as a filler has a lower degree of forming. Using this feature, it can solve the contradiction that the foldability becomes worse when a higher quantitative vacuum aluminized base paper is selected to improve the crispness of cigarette packaging.
(2)Paper is hygroscopic, and the increase in the moisture content of the paper after moisture absorption leads to a decrease in the bonding force between the fibers, so the stiffness decreases. Talcum powder is hydrophobic, which can improve the water resistance of paper and reduce the moisture absorption of the paper; the paper with talc filler has a significantly lower moisture absorption rate in a high humidity environment than the paper with calcium carbonate filler, so it has a high humidity environment. The stiffness loss is also much lower than the latter; the vacuum aluminized base paper produced with talc filler has good packaging adaptability in high-humidity areas such as the southeast coast and is not prone to stiffness. (3)Talcum powder has a sheet-like structure, which gives the paper good barrier properties. The vacuum aluminized base paper filled with talcum powder has good water vapor and oxygen barrier properties, which makes up for the low barrier properties of vacuum aluminized liner paper.
(4) To improve the machine adaptability of the vacuum aluminized lining paper, in addition to optimizing the filler, there are many other areas that can be improved, which require continuous exploration and discovery.
